Below you’ll find the answers to some of my most asked questions!

Absolutely! I can craft ceremonies for other significant life milestones, such as naming ceremonies, coming-of-age rituals, or even retirement celebrations. My expertise extends beyond weddings and funerals to honour various pivotal moments in someone’s life.

I typically dress in professional and neutral attire that doesn’t detract from the ceremony’s focus. If you have specific attire or theme requests, I am happy to accommodate and will dress accordingly.

Unlike many Celebrants, I believe in being transparent with my fees, so you will find all the details for the various packages displayed on my website.  I don’t just quote a ‘from’ figure and include lots of hidden charges! Remember that you’re not just paying for the ceremony itself but for the time, effort, preparation and expertise I bring to crafting your unique event.

Wedding specific questions…

I typically begin with a consultation where I get to know your story, values, and preferences. I will ask you about how you met, your shared experiences, and any specific rituals or elements you wish to include. With this information, I craft a ceremony that’s deeply personal and meaningful.

I tailor your ceremony to your unique story, beliefs, and values. There are no rules we have to follow!  If you’re not affiliated with a particular religion or if you and your partner come from different faith backgrounds, I can create a ceremony that’s inclusive and representative of both your journeys.

This depends on your location. In England at the moment, a celebrant-led wedding is purely symbolic, and you would need to visit a registrar separately for the legal aspect. The law is likely to change in this regard however, to bring us more in-line with colleagues in America and Australia etc.

The cost to attend at the Register Office with two witnesses is £46 and that will legally marry you.  The marriage and the wedding are not time dependent on each other so you can do both on the same day, a few days apart or even a months or years apart!

Yes!  There are packages available that include a rehearsal so you can ensure that both you and the bridal party are comfortable with the flow of the ceremony. It’s an ideal opportunity to iron out any last-minute concerns and to understand the sequence of events for the big day.

Absolutely! I often assist couples with writing or refining their vows. I can provide guidance, examples, and feedback to ensure your vows are a genuine reflection of your feelings and commitment.
